The World Junior Championship happened this past Friday and Canada’s Charles Paquet (19 years-old) managed to bring home a medal in Cozumel Mexico. Charles completed the course in 54:12 which got him the silver medal.
“It was pretty hard out there. About two kilometres on the run I started really feeling the heat and my quads were getting really tired. I was expecting to be on the podium today, and to be second place I am very happy with that.”
The Championshio distance was a sprint race so the distance the competitors had to overcome was 750 meter swim, 20 kilometre bike and a 5 kilometre run.
